I've never felt right about what they did to Jane. The truth is more than just Elizabeth having supporters. When Jane arrived in England, her husband dudley *whatever* walked in front of her along with her parents. All ahead of her! The new queen! This certainly didn't help get cause. England's pll witnessed this and knew it would not be Jane who ran the country, but her ambitious parents and husband. They could've let her live. Sent her to a convent or something. I don't believe she would've grabbed at the crown had they let her live.

As a boy played there. The Hall was unkempt and spooky later it was taken over as some kind of hospital. The ledgent had it that △ lodge was home of Guy Fawkes who was gamekeeper to Francis Tresham of Tresham Hall Rushton near Kettering. Francis Tresham was involved with the Gunpowder Plot & captured and imprisoned in the tower while his co-conspiritors were also caught and exicuted. Guy Fawkes was caught getting ready to set light to the gunpowder under parliament to blow it up with King James. Previously Fawkes enlisted in the Spanish army fighting against the Dutch and was engaged in plotting for Spain to invade England. The FrancisTreshams & Fawkes were a bad lot. The 5th of November is celebrated with bonfires & fireworks annually. I see the dark murcky history part has been glossed over. There was a tunnel from my friend's farm house to the lodge. Of course we boys hunted but we never found the entrance. The tunnel was eventually found when mining for iron ore was being dug out by open cast using a walking deadlines excavators. Those mines were also good for fossils collecting.
